Welcome
Founded in 2017 by a group of senior scientists and project developers, Marine Planning Matters (MPM) Environment Ltd is an independent London-based consultancy in aquatic ecology, marine licensing and planning.
We provide a wide range of services, including evidence-based scientific ecology advice and environmental impact assessments to industry, government and nature conservation organisations, in the United Kingdom and abroad. Our expertise covers UK and international environmental legislation, Marine Licensing, Water Framework Directive Assessments, Habitats Regulations Assessments, coastal and marine ecology, water and sediment quality and aquaculture.
Our team has extensive experience in working for and with regulators, and with developers, to meet the evidence requirements of the Marine Management Organisation, the Welsh Government, the Port of London Authority, Natural England and the Environment Agency in the UK, and with many government organisations and the private sector overseas.
We operate a lean, stripped down business model, offering value at competitive rates. Working with engineering companies, we offer management of the licensing process integrated with project design, planning and execution. Our clients include industry, government and nature conservation organisations in the United Kingdom, the EU, the Middle East, Mexico and Indonesia.
